So with the goal of trying to keep things easy and simple, in 2014 we got married last minute during a weekend stopover in New York City on the way home to Canada from Australia for Christmas. At least we started out with the plan to keep things simple. A series of events lined up that ended up making the experience much bigger than planned including a Home Alone Theme (top film!), horse drawn carriages, wedding rings, an unexpected bachelor party and a spread in Marie Claire magazine?
